The clients for this new construction home approached Rutledge Alcock Architects with a keen notion of what they desired for their “dream house”.  Based on the classic American Four Square, this design has a traditionally inspired floor plan that has been reinterpreted to satisfy the demands of a modern lifestyle. Careful attention to classic detailing techniques culminates in a solution that feels wholly authentic and pays respect to the local vernacular.  The Appleton Residence consists of four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a wrap-around front porch, open-plan kitchen, and an intimately-scaled, screened rear porch.
